1. Inspiring principles.
The Provvida Madre Foundation acts in compliance with the Christian values on the basis of which it was founded on December 5, 1970 and in compliance with the civil values of the surrounding socio-political context, has as its purpose the exercise of facilities and services for minors and disabled adults.
The Foundation welcomes children and adults of both sexes, without age limits, suffering from severe mental retardation, often accompanied by physical and / or mental handicaps.
Goals
• the psycho-physical well-being of the person received;
• the offer of an environment capable of favoring the best evolution of the guests;
• the development and / or maintenance of residual capacities;
• the development of the autonomy of the person;
• collaboration with families;
• social integration;
• the development of a good image of the institute towards the population outside the institution.
2. Performance
The foundation offers the handicapped person global support.
The institute’s activity includes:
• the reception and care of young children, in the special kindergarten;
• the special school;
• full or part-time internship, and internship for minors and adults;
• employment and leisure activities;
• the offer of various therapies: physiotherapy, ergotherapy, psychomotor skills; water therapy or other individual therapies that become necessary.
• the offer of constant care and nursing assistance.
3. Public relations
The Foundation is particularly sensitive and respectful of the expectations of the community.
It actively collaborates with bodies, services and voluntary organizations.
